EARS on Helsinki is four days full of discussions, roundtable sessions, networking and meeting local doers – not to mention some sauna, and enjoying the best bits of summer in Helsinki.
The first day of the seminar is dedicated to keynotes and panel discussions. On day two we take a deeper dive into the topics of music, film and animation, fashion and performing arts in our industry-specific tracks. Come weekend, the program makes space for visits and meetings with local doers, networking and carefully curated side program.

In 2016, we present four cross-over topics that come together in industry-specific talks and sessions on music, film, visual and performing arts, design, architecture, fashion – etc.
Starting with Curated Content, we’ll take a look at social media megastars, multi-channel personal brands and contents curated and distributed following a whole new set of rules. Who makes the selections and why? And what about the rule book?
The topic of Funding is full of insider insight and intriguing discussion, as there is whole different logic to funding creative industries – and some serious money to be invested. How are investment decisions made? On the other hand, what is the effect of funding on the content?
Moving on to Live Events going Digital – this is where the wind of change is blowing! Social media, live streaming, holograms and virtual reality disrupt the traditional logic of organizing and attending events. How does this affect planning and executing them?
Finally we take a 360 on creative ecosystems with our fourth theme, Productisize! Looking at branding, distribution and adapting stories to cross cultural barriers, how does a single character migrate between literature, cinema, music, or games?
With it’s convenient location and creative vibe, Helsinki is the best spot for professionals from Europe and Asia to meet. Located in the crossroads between East and West, we like to call Helsinki the creative hub of the North. This year, we’re set at the hottest new start-up community opening at the old Maria hospital grounds in Kamppi, right in the center of Helsinki.
Next to a great conference, we’ve also got a mini getaway in the coolest city of the Nordics up for grabs! This summer, there are even more public saunas, gatherings of food trucks and culinarists of the sort, cool clubs and concert venues, unique fashion statements, gorgeous architectural achievements and other manifestations of the Finnish urban culture.
To make your stay in Helsinki most enjoyable, we’ve gathered tips on hotels and some Helsinki essentials for making your way around the city. Now all you’ve got to do is decide on how long you’d like to stay!
