Isabelle Glachant, Founder and CEO, Chinese Shadows and Asian Shadows

Isabelle Glachant started as a journalist for French TV station Canal + and began her career in cinema as an executive producer of Shanghai Dreams (Wang Xiaoshuai, Cannes Film Festival, Jury Prize, 2005).  Since then, she has participated in all of Wang Xiaoshuai‘s films, including Red Amnesia (Venice Film Festival, Competition, 2014), and worked with directors like Li Yu, Lu Chuan or Lou Ye.

In 2014, Glachant started an International Sales company, Asian Shadows, that represents Asian films such as Siti (Eddie Cahyono) or Paths of the Soul (Zhang Yang) internationally. Her production company Chinese Shadows continues to produce and develop Asian talents like Eddie Cahyono, Faozan Rizal or Liu Shu. Made Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters by the French Ministry of Culture and based in Asia, Glachant is also, since 2012, uniFrance Films’ Greater China representative.
