Sophy is the co-founder and chief executive of the Indian Documentary Foundation, a not-for-profit organization which was founded with the intention of creating impact with documentaries. Indian documentary foundation strategizes and produces impact campaigns for films. The impact campaign for After My Garden Grows, a film by Oscar award winner Megan Mylan, about young girls empowerment was designed by Sophy which created positive change towards delaying the marriage of the girl child. Indian documentary Foundation collaborates on CSR-led training and mentoring workshops for social entrepreneurs successfully building narratives for nonprofits and foundations. She is on the advisory board for Yes Bank Foundation and Dahi Akshar foundation. Sophy has successfully led the Good Pitch global program in India, twice in 2018 and 2014, and Indian documentary Foundation is currently producing Good Pitch local in Karnataka 2019.
