Stuba Nikula, Cultural director at City of Helsinki
EARS on Helsinki speaker Stuba used to work as managing director of a city owned company that develops two cultural centers in Helsinki: Cable Factory and Suvilahti. He is an expert group member of Creative Industries Development Center in St. Petersburg. For six years he sat in the executive committee of Trans Europe Halles – European network of independent cultural centers. He has previously worked as a promoter of Tuska-festival – one of the largest heavy metal festivals in the Nordic countires. He is a teacher of mathematics and computer science by education. His need for teaching has been satisfied when lecturing in various cultural management schools. He has sat in and out of the boards of several cultural companies, associations and the Finnish live music foundation.
