EARS on Mumbai speaker Pawan Kumar is a film director, actor and screenwriter in the Kannada film industry. Being from a theatre background, he wrote scripts for plays on stage before working as an associate director with Yograj Bhat. He is well known for the films Manasaare, Pancharangi, and his directorial debut Lifeu Ishtene. The 2013 psychological thriller Lucia became one of the biggest turning points of his career. The film was the first commercially successful crowdfunded Indian film. He later wrote and directed – U TURN, another thriller which was a hit at the box office in 2016. Currently he is producing films and starting his next new film.
