Nimi Ravindran, Co-Founder, Sandbox Collective

EARS on Mumbai speaker Nimi Ravindran is a writer, theatre director,  producer  and the co-founder Sandbox Collective, a performance and arts collective based in Bangalore, India. She has worked in the theatre sector for over 15 years in various capacities. She started her career as an actor while at University, and very quickly moved onto directing and later producing theatre. She has directed 12 productions in the last 10 years and has produced several more. She has also worked as a journalist, covering the art and culture section for India Today, the country’s best known news magazine. She was the artistic director of Just Theatre a Bangalore-based theatre company till 2013 and serves as a core-team member of The Company Theatre workspace, a residency space based in rural India. She is also the recipient of the senior fellowship in theatre from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.
