Shweta Prasad is an Indian actress, producer and documentary filmmaker. She started her career in Bollywood auteur Vishal Bhardwaj’s debut film Makdee in 2002 when she was 11. She won the National Film award for the role, one of the highest felicitations an actor can receive in India.
Shweta has also acted in Iqbal, Ek Nodir Golpo and Kottha Bangaru Lokam. She has also produced feature films and has made a documentary film, Roots that explores the fading visibility of Classical music in India. The docu is available on Netflix.
Shweta has two feature films up for release later this year – including Popcity (directed by Rohit Mittal) that she has produced.
