Liisa Vähäkylä has been working as an executive director of Finnanimation, the network of Finnish animation producers, since September 2009. Before that she made career both in journalism and marketing communications. Liisa has got MA degree from the University of Jyväskylä, Finland, in Art Education and Journalism. Thereafter she studied Animation at Goldsmiths College (University of London) in London and New Media at the College of Art and Design in Helsinki (Aalto-University).  At Finnanimation Liisa Vähäkylä has built Finland-Asia relationships as well as proposed many educational and cultural initiatives. Her tasks include promoting both animated series, features and documentaries from Finland and visiting numerous events worldwide.
