A career spanning over 10 + years in music business primarily focused into digital music marketing. I started my journey with India’s biggest music label Tseries, followed by Deezer and now working with Believe Music as Head of marketing and video business working on musicgrowth by building Music Distribution, Marketing, Video Management, and Artist Development strategy in India.
Starting from the media of Television, Radio and ground events to promote Bollywood & regional music for Tseries, I joined the new wave of T-Series’s digital marketing by being in the core team to start social media & YT channel for the label. I was the part from the day 1 of YT channel creation of T-Series and headed the social media strategy in order to progress the same. Within a year, I and my team could achieve fruitful results for the channel, which indeed became a top-most viewed channel in YT India, and the position of it still continues.
During my experience working for such a prestigious label, I also wanted to enter my feet into store side of the business and got the forty of the same, I got an opportunity to simultaneously work in Deezer as India editor. This position gave me a clear understanding of how music store works & what works best in the international market.
For the past 4 + years, my association with Believe Digital have provided a truly global exposure to the wave of digital music growth. Believe gave me an opportunity – where I was the part of the core team to start India operations, lead and grow ‘businesses’ in India and neighboring territories vis-a-vis Pakistan, Bangladesh to name a few. My key learning was to present Indian catalog promotion in international markets like US & UK and as well as working on International content marketing in India
In recent years I have had the opportunity to enhance my experience by working with Indian & International independent artist, helping them set up their own labels, creating content marketing strategy & a business plan
